Graduate Credit Information

To earn the full two PD credits available from the conference, you will need to complete the following: 

  1. Submit your exit survey at the end of all three conference days. These will be released at the end of each day and also available in the IgniteND digital booklet.
  2. Write and submit one 750 word minimum reflection paper about your experience at this years conference.
  3. Write and submit one lesson plan that is aligned with either ND Computer Science and Cybersecurity Standards or CYBER.ORG K-12 Cybersecurity Learning Standards.
  • This lesson plan should be a minimum of 750 words and be one that your substitute or principal could lead in your classroom. 

Once we have received those items and they are reviewed, you will see the IgniteND 2023 events in your EduTech Training Dashboard and can apply to NDSU for credit

Graduate Credit


Professional development credit is available through NDSU’s Distance and Continuing Education at a per credit cost of $75.00 (subject to change). One professional development credit is available for at least 15 hours of approved instruction. IgniteND conference hours are eligible for credit. Visit EduTech PD Credit to learn more.

  1. How many hours are available for PD credit? You will have the opportunity to earn up to 34 hours toward PD credit. 

       Day 1 – 8 hours, Day 2 – 8 hours, Day 3 – 8 hours, reflection paper & lesson
       plan – 8 hours.  

  1. What do I need to earn all available hours? You must attend every session, including the opening and closing, and networking time. During the second day, you are required to attend the evening event. 

       You must complete the exit surveys for days 1, 2, and 3. Along with a 750- 
       word reflection paper and one lesson plan the integrates the ND CS &
       Cybersecurity Standards

       If you attend virtually, Virtual participants are eligible for the stipend if they
       watch 15 hours of conference content or more. There will also be an
       assignment opportunity after the event that they will be able to complete to
       meet hour minimums. 15 hours of content is the minimum requirement for a
       Level 3 CS and Cybersecurity credential through the ND Department of Public
       Instruction. Contact fsnow@nd.gov for more information. 

  1. What if I am not able to attend the full conference, can I still earn PD hours? Yes. You must complete the exit survey for the day you attended.  

  2. Am I able to attend both in-person and virtually? Yes. Conference organizers will send details for how you can attend virtually.  

  3. How much will it cost for the PD credit and which university will it come from? $75.00 per credit, 15 hours = 1 credit. NDSU will be the credit awarding university. 

  4. How do I submit my exit survey for PD hours toward credit? You will need to use your K12 credentials to access the exit surveys at the end of each day. If you need help accessing your K12 credentials, please contact your district technology administrator prior to attending.  

  5. If I do not fill out the exit survey, am I still allowed to earn PD credit hours? No. Exit survey submissions are required to earn PD credit.  

  6. Where do I check my eligible PD hours from the IgniteND conference? Visit EduTech Training Dashboard and log in with your K12 credentials. If you do not have access to these, please contact your school district technology administrator.  

  7. How do I begin the process of registering for my PD credit? Visit the EduTech PD Credit web page and select BEGIN REGISTRATION at the bottom of the page.  

  8. Who should I contact if I have questions regarding my PD credit hours?  Please email the EduTech Help Desk at help@k12.nd.us.
